York Food Festival is a week of foodie’s delights. It features over 100 food and drink producers showcasing the best of Yorkshire produce throughout the city’s streets and markets.
St Sampsons Square is the venue for a daily programme of demonstrations by celebrity chefs, some of whom you will recognise from the TV Masterchef programmes. York Cookery School will also be showing food preparation skills. York was home to the Rowntree family, the city’s Chocolate story is told through exhibits and demonstrations at the Guildhall. Of course, all the food tasting may require some liquid refreshment provided by York Brewery, wine bars, coffee stalls or ‘proper’ Yorkshire Tea! Throughout the festival, York’s ‘little festival of live music’ provides entertainment in Parliament Street from 5pm each evening. Street food stalls will be tempting you with many international dishes and flavours.
