Up, Up and away over York Racecourse this September when York’s Hot Air Balloon Fiesta attracts over 50 brightly coloured balloons and many enthusiasts to the 3 day event.

The festival starts at 3pm on Friday and closes at 7pm on Sunday.

In addition to massed flights, there are spectacular ‘night glows’; when tethered balloons illuminate the whole of the Knavesmire racecourse to music. There’s a festival atmosphere with static displays, fairground rides and food stalls. Take a look at the 2017 Balloon Fiesta video:
