Halloween Fun…York’s Great Ghost Search 11 Oct – 1 Nov.

Family fun at Halloween in York, Europe's most haunted city.

York’s sometimes grizzly history has given it the accolade of being Europe’s most haunted city. Nearly 500 hauntings within the city walls have given rise to many Ghost Walks for grown-ups to enjoy.
It’s not all scary, though. 11 Oct-1 Nov is the ‘Great Ghost Search’ Competition. 26 minature ‘ghost lanterns’ are hidden around the city for children to find. Then, at Halloween (27 Oct-1 Nov) 50 ‘Mini Ghosts’ will be put out between 5-7pm which children can keep when they find them.

Great Ghost Search Competition: 11 Oct-1 Nov

Find the 26 ‘ghost lanterns’, note their location on the entry form, and you could win a ‘Merlin Premium Pass’ for a Family of four. Download the Competition Map & Rules here..

Halloween Mini Ghosts: 27 Oct-1 Nov.

50 Mini Ghosts will be hidden around the city streets each evening between 5pm and 7pm. These are yours to keep if you find one. If you find one with extra decoration, take it to the competition sponsor, The York Dungeon, and you may win an additional prize. Download the Mini Ghost Map & Rules here.
